Eating Psychology explores the relationship between food, body, and mind.

It helps you understand why you eat the way you do—without judgment—and supports you in making lasting changes by addressing the emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns behind eating. This approach is rooted in compassion, not restriction, and is especially helpful for those struggling with stress eating, body image, or a history of dieting.

This approach looks beyond diets and willpower to explore the deeper reasons behind your relationship with food and your body. It’s designed for women in midlife who may be navigating hormonal changes, stress, and years of dieting or emotional eating. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that no longer serve you and create a more peaceful, sustainable approach to eating—rooted in self-awareness, not shame.

After 23 years as a Registered Dietitian, Janice decided that she was far more interested in her client’s life stories than what they were putting on their plate. Although she maintains an interest in nutrition, disordered eating and weight management, her therapy focus is to help women with their mental health challenges so that they can live the life they want to be living.

She is passionate about guiding others to find their passion(s), purpose and life meaning. She believes that building the foundation of knowing who one truly is, one’s values and what makes their life worth living, positive change is a much easier journey. Janice will partner with you as a team to move you forward on your individual “Heroine’s Journey.”

Janice lives in the Niagara Region of Ontario with her 5 rescue cats and a really powerful vacuum. She loves to bake, grow her own food, watch cheesy weather disaster movies and eat out at many of the area’s local winery restaurants.
